Firefox/ Fix

Some users of Firefox will occasionally encounter an issue with  The problem will manifest itself as an inability to load the website.  The fix-all is to delete your Firefox profile, but there is a easier approach.  For me, its a language setting that gets changed for some reason.

To see if this is the problem your having and fix it:

  1. Enter about:config in the address bar and press enter.
  2. Check the entry key “intl.accept_languages.”  For me the value had been modified to “chrome://global/locale/”.
  3. If step 2 is true, select the key, right-click, and select reset.
  4. Try accessing, it should work now.

Ubiquity Prototype

There is a new extension in the works for Firefox called Ubiquity.  It brings natural language command line interaction to any webpage.  Its pretty groundbreaking.  Below is the video from vimeo.  Its really worth watching.

Mozilla Firefox in Danger

Last night I installed the latest version of Opera (9.63) in response to a bug report.  I have to say, I’m pretty impressed with this version.  The problems I’d noticed with previous versions (primarily it being slow as Christmas) are gone.  Firefox now has something to be concerned about in my opinion.
